Do you find yourself looking out the window every five minutes to see if the ice has melted? The Florida Rowing Center and GLRF are proud to announce a gay and lesbian spring sculling week. Come to Florida’s West Palm Beach and warm your soul while stretching for a clean catch on the pristine water of Lake Wellington. Enjoy three coached sessions per day and choose among three different programs: 7 day, 4 day, and 3 day. Daily sessions are scheduled for 7:30, 11:00, and 15:30, and last for 90 minutes. The coaching staff are elite-qualified instructors with experience in coaching all levels of rowers. The sculler to coach ratio is never more than 5 to 1. Videotape analysis is provided in all session programs. Each session program includes a daily breakfast, the use of boats, oars, three on the water sessions a day, and coaching. Rowers are placed in 4’s and 8’s according to skill and size for two on the water sessions each day, for three days. A head will be assisted by as many additional coaches as demand requires to assure personalized attention for all rowers. The Retreat offers opportunities for both sweep and scull Whether you come by yourself or bring your team, the Austin Rowing Club will make sure there’s a boat ready and waiting. The weekend training schedule is balanced with a full set of social activities that encourage rowers to experience the warm Austin hospitality.
