The 200 rowing section members of the Vancouver Rowing Club, ranging in age from our youngest 14-year-old Junior rower to a Master rower in his 70’s, all proudly row a modern, high quality fleet of shells.
The calibre, commitment, and experience of our coaches make it possible for a new rower to transition from their learn-to-row experience, through novice, all the way to the podium if that is their goal. VRC also offers a popular recreational rowing program, which allows a rower to develop skills without the racing component.

The Montreal Rowing Club (MRC) was founded in 1987. We are a non-profit amateur sports organization, managed by a Board of Directors made up of volunteer members. Our mission is to promote and practice rowing, an Olympic sport, in the greater Montreal area.
The club has over 400 annual and summer members, as well as participants in various rowing programs. We offer competitive, masters, recreational, high school, collegiate/university and corporate rowing programs as well as Learn-To-Row courses.
We are located at the Olympic Basin in Montreal, a rowing facility "par excellence". Direct legacy of the 1976 Olympic Games, the Olympic Basin remains the only of its kind in North America.
Our club is the largest rowing club in Quebec, and among the 5 largest rowing clubs in the country. We play an important role in the development of elite rowing athletes in Quebec and Canada. Each year several athletes become member of the provincial, national or Canadian Olympic rowing teams.

From the GLRF classic literature companion:
Rowing festival – in the modern world, a day or days set aside by a club, city, state, or country for the worship of rowing gods. Although festivals have been associated, in some aspect with a religious practice, a rowing festival is a purely secular activity, marked by frequent occasions of stroking, feathering, general merrymaking and gaiety. Feasting, athletics, play-acting, and bawdiness are all considered appropriate constituents of rowing festivals.

Every summer, GLRF members visit the Craftsbury Sculling Center, on their own or with a friend or two. This group is meant to connect Craftsbury alumni, offer suggestions for those thinking about attending for the first time, and help those looking to either put together a group of people for a week or weekend at the Craftsbury Sculling Center or attending one of the GLRF Sculling Weekends that are promoted on the Regatta Camps page.Visit the group's discussion forum where you can add a topic, ask questions, maybe talk about the best weekends or the best time to go. It's all up to you.
