Gay + Lesbian Rowing Federation (GLRF) Registration Terms & Rules
Please take a moment to review these rules detailed below. If you agree with them and wish to proceed with the registration, simply close out the pop up or hit the back button on your mobile, click the check box on the Agree to Terms registration form and then click the 'Create my Account' button. To cancel this registration, simply hit the 'back' button on your browser.
Registration is open everyone, inside or outside the LGBTQ+ worldwide rowing community. The Gay + Lesbian Rowing Federation does not ask anyone’s sexual orientation but simply their gender identity.
Registration is open to anyone 13 years and older. Because the Gay + Lesbian Rowing Federation is based in the United States, our registration system uses the Child Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) rules that gives parents control over what information a website can collect from anyone over 13 and under 18. If a person is under 13 years old, they can still join the GLRF community, but they must submit written parental consent.
By registering, you warrant that you are truthfully representing your date of birth.
The only required fields for registration are date of birth, display name, email address, gender identification, country, region, metroarea, and city. Beyond that, we do collect additional rowing information which is optional for every individual.
Because the Gay + Lesbian Rowing Federation is an individual membership organization, we discourage the use of company and organizational email addresses as well as common rowing club email prefixes. We ask everyone to use a personal email address so that we can stay in touch, and you can login or submit a lost password request even if you have changed companies or roles.
By registering, you expressly agree to the continued display of any content you upload or post, as well as agree that we reserve the right to delete any content that does not meet our community guidelines. This agreement extends even if you delete your profile, or your profile is banned. We agree not to use any content you have uploaded or posted outside of this online community for marketing or promotional purposes without your express approval.
You can delete your profile at any time by clicking on user profile (after login) and selecting delete my profile. After you delete your profile, any content you have created (posted or uploaded) will be accredited as as ‘Guest <<username>>.’
By registering, you acknowledge that the Gay + Lesbian Rowing Federation is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any content that is uploaded or posted or sent via message by an individual user. Any posted content (outside of the administrators) expresses the views of the individual user and not necessarily the views of the GLRF community. Any user who feels that any posted or uploaded content is objectionable is encouraged to contact the GLRF administrators via the contact us link in the footer of the online platform. We have the ability to remove objectionable content and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary.
GLRF cannot control the content of any online messages sent to you by other users. You can delete them and if the user continues to send you messages, you are encouraged to contact the GLRF administrators so that we can warn or ban the sending user.
By registering, you agree, through your use of this online platform, that you will not use this online community to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law.
By registering, you agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by the Gay + Lesbian Rowing Federation.
