  1. From $20

Most guys are not adventurous enough to try a wide neck shirt but women already know the secret: showing your neck line is damn sexy. Once you put this shirt on, it will be your all-time favorite.

Now the real question: are you comfortable enough with who you are to wear it?

  2. From $5.50

This is the sample shirt provided by Alternative Apparel when we were designing the GLRF 2010 Boston Rower Wannabe shirt.  Obviously, we went with the shirt given the name we chose!

This is a unisex, medium with a deep scoop neck.  For guys, it shows off the top of your pecs and also gives a peak at your traps on either side of your neck.  Some in the industry call it a "slub" style.  For girls, it has a nice wide neck all around that you like so much.

It's super soft, made in Egypt, of ... yeah, cotton.  Let's say it again, suuuuuuuper soft.  More women bought this shirt than men - mostly because most guys felt a little shy about the fashion forward, large neck.

The color is elephant, and looking at it here on the desk, yes, it does look like a baby elephant ears are flopping around!

  3. From $20

Enjoy this royal blue, lightweight super soft, cotton-feel performance shirt for on and off the water. Tell everyone all the reasons that make rowing so irresistible. Ahhhhh....rowing. What’s not to like? *sigh*

Shirt front reads: “Rowing is such sweet release.”

The shirt has a men’s cut and fits loosely for the normal size person. Ladies, we recommend a size smaller.

  4. From $20

Yes, this is a men's cut shirt but that doesn't mean women can't wear it.  In terms of fit, the wide neck makes this a super sexy off the water shirt.

The Catchin' Rowmance design is targeted for the ladies but there is no reason why a guy can't wear this shirt.  It all depends on what you like for a design and the message.  The catchin' message is a double entendre, mixing rowing terminology with urban slang for both gay and straight rowers.  For straight folk, catching means finding a hookup.  For gay folk, well, you figure it out (hint: think baseball).

Now the real question: are you comfortable enough with who you are to wear it?

  5. From $20

Leave them speechless at the country club, in Pasadena, or on the streets of Paris. Mon Dieu! Are you really bisweptual?

After a double take, which everyone will do, there will be a look of confusion, unless you’re a rower. But just turn around and educate the public with the special GLRF definition of a bisweptual rower.

  6. From $5.50

This sample shirt provided by Alternative Apparel was one of several that we considered for the Come Out and Row design.

This is a unisex, medium with a regular v-neck.  What does regular v-neck mean? For guys, it just goes below your collar bone a couple of inches so you're not into the "hey, look at my hot pecs" territory.  For girls, it just give you a little breathing room that crew neck tshirts often don't provide.

It's a super soft blend of polyester, cotton, and rayon, and made in the ever so nice Dominican Republic.  .

The color is oatmeal, and if you're not sure what that looks like, well go cook some and let it sit - it's kind of a mix between grey and super light brown.

  7. From $5.50

A unisex shirt with a deep vneck and a chest pocket, and a mauve color that makes you stand out.

This is a unisex medium shirt and is not for the fashion faint-hearted. But for guys with a good dose of self-confidence, you will be the envy of everyone around you.  The shirt just screams "totally hot."  For girls, well, it is feminine, and with the low neck line, you will be showing some cleavage if your bust has got some volume.

The shirt is a blend of 50/50 cotton and polyester and feels like soft velvet.  Put it on and encourage your fellow rowers to rub their hands on your chest (well, maybe not the coach ...).

  8. From $20

Targeted more for the women, the Catchin' Rowmance shirt shows your love for rowing and your teammates.  Available in two styles: v-neck and wide-neck (limited quantities)

  9. From $20

Save this shirt for off the water. It will soon become your fav. This super soft and somewhat deep v-neck style has a fitted, unisex cut and makes everyone look good. Made with a blend of poly, cotton, and rayon, the shirt won’t shrink. However, being that we are a gay and lesbian organization, these shirts are fashion forward, high end and should be washed in cold water. (If you’re straight, no, you won’t turn gay by wearing the shirt ... but we do ask you to act gay in public, whenever possible, and ask every guy and girl to come out and row.)

The shirt has a more fitted, unisex cut so guys, if you normally sneak by in one size, like a medium, you may want to go up one size.  For the girls, you will find these shirts fit you well in the size you normally buy.

  10. From $5

The GLRF League of Rowing Friends brings together a group of the best in the rowing community:

    • Captain Regatta (do we really need to explain this one?)
    • Super Rower (faster than an octuple or more powerful than the Princeton Heavies 8+ ...)
    • Bowman and Strokesider (okay, maybe a hint like 'bat... and his red-trou sidekick')
    • The Incredible Engineroom (one word: hulk-like)
    • Erg Lightening (you know the type, so fast it's like their split seems to appear in a "flash")
    • Aqua Feather (spends a lot of time in the water, moving through it with amazing skill ...)
    • Cyblade (half rower and half machine - think borg ...)
    • The Amazing Sliderman (a real blade slinger)
    • Wonder Sculler (she has strong hands, and golden bracelets)
    • Green Coxswain (in brightest day or darkest morning rows, no 4+ or 8+ shall escape my sight!)

The shirt has a more fitted, unisex cut so guys, if you normally sneak by in one size, like a medium, you may want to go up one size.  For the girls, you will find these shirts fit you well in the size you normally buy.

  11. From $5
