Hosted by the Austin Rowing Club and Row Team Austin The Winter Rowing Retreat held every year on Washington’s Birthday Weekend is a perfect setting for novice and intermediate rowers to sharpen their skills and prepare for the upcoming season. Rowers are placed in 4’s and 8’s according to skill and size for two on the water sessions each day, for three days. A head will be assisted by as many additional coaches as demand requires to assure personalized attention for all rowers. The Retreat offers opportunities for both sweep and scull Whether you come by yourself or bring your team, the Austin Rowing Club will make sure there’s a boat ready and waiting. The weekend training schedule is balanced with a full set of social activities that encourage rowers to experience the warm Austin hospitality.
