Brisbane LGBTIQ swim team Aqualicious is holding a Twilight Swim Meet in Spring Hill later this month. The meet is a regular event on the Queensland Masters Swimming calendar and last year drew over 80 entrants from a dozen clubs, including the Wett Ones from Sydney and Melbourne’s Glamourhead Sharks.
Although the meet is competitive, the main themes are fun and inclusiveness. The signature event is the hotly-contested Ian Davis Memorial Relay, with the trophy going to the team who comes closest to their entry time.
Aqualicious is based at Centenary Pool, Spring Hill and train on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as well as Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons. New members welcome.
