The Brisbane Hustlers are in Auckland this weekend competing in the Purchas Cup, the Australasian gay and inclusive rugby competition. This is the first time the annual competition will be held in New Zealand since its inception in 2004.
The Purchas Cup is named after the founder of the Sydney Convicts, Andrew Purchas.
The Brisbane Hustlers are the current cup champions, having beaten the Sydney Convicts in the final last year.
The NZ Falcons will host the overseas teams, with games played at the Ponsonby Rugby Club starting at 9.30am on Saturday (Sept 5).
