The Vogalonga in Venice

The Vogalonga is a celebration of all people 'of the oar.' Held annually in late May or early June, the Sunday event draws upwards of 4,000 participants from around the world. The start and finish begins in the Grand Canal and follows an 18km course around all the outer islands of Venice and through the canals of Venice.
