Add On Event - Florence Or Bled?

There are two possibilities for rowing as a camp before or after the Vogalonga. We're floating this as an add on for people traveling a long distance and hoping to get more rowing in during their visit to Italy.

 

There are rowing clubs in Florence which is 265 km southwest of Venice, and also a wonderful rowing location in Bled, Slovenia - see pics from the GLRF visit in June 2011.

 

The drive to Slovenia is beautiful and takes about 3 hours. The location in Bled is all about rowing and is a favorite location for the World Rowing Championships. The one club at the lake has nothing but Filippi and Empachers. As would be expected in Europe, there are only a few 4+ and 8+ but a big fleet of 2+ and 4+.
